Roles of research in graphic design

There are many of different types of research and a confusing terminology. Artistic research, practice based research, practical research, practice led research, etc. This has a direct effect on PhD-studies in graphic design and information design.

Below are some articles that I wrote to fuel the discussions about the relations between graphic design and research.
